A recent study found that adults with type 1 diabetes (T1D) have similar rates of overweight (34%) and obesity (28%) vs the general population (36% and 28%, respectively). Despite these high rates, only 51% of adults with T1D receive lifestyle-altering advice from their physicians vs 60% for adults with T2D.
Do you offer lifestyle-changing advice—such as recommending increased physical activity or reduced fat intake or overall calories—to your patients with T1D?
