A Linear Equation for Successful Suturing

To ensure that there is no translational error when you suture a linear laceration, use the thumb and index finger of your non-dominant hand to create traction in line with the laceration. Maintain the traction as you insert the needle through both sides of the wound, and everything should line up perfectly.
