Editor's Commentary - April 2016: Springing Forward
Spring is in the air. Perhaps more potently than any other seasonal transition, the passing from winter to spring is charged with great possibilities and the spirit of change. What better time to reveal the transition about to occur on this publication?
During the past couple of months I have been serving as the interim managing editor; although I have enjoyed my time in this position, I am thrilled to announce that a new, permanent managing editor will be taking the helm of this prestigious publication.
It gives me great pleasure to introduce Lauren LeBano as the managing editor of Consultant for Pediatricians. Lauren has had many years of experience in medical publishing and is looking forward to serving you through this distinguished role.
Lauren has big plans for this publication and is eager to provide you with the information you need to become better informed and prepared for the diagnostic and therapeutic challenges your patients present each day in clinic.
As you know, our mission is to provide practical clinical advice from experts in pediatrics and other specialties in a convenient resource for primary care pediatricians, pediatric nurse practitioners, and pediatric physician assistants. We also bring you peer-reviewed articles on the key pediatric topics encountered in clinical practice, as well as concise, quick-reading features that emphasize diagnostic quizzes and color photography. By focusing on the how-to of diagnosing and treating common pediatric medical problems, Consultant for Pediatricians has remained a top-ranking independent clinical journal.
We are dedicated to the mission of this publication, and we will continue to achieve the level of quality and integrity you have come to depend on. We invite you to submit case reports with a practical teaching message, and we encourage you to reach out to us with feedback that will help us better serve you and your colleagues in pediatric health care.
